InterviewDrill.io is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We aim to be unusually transparent — this is real language, not legalese.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly — your email address when you sign up, job descriptions and resume text you paste or upload, and your interview session responses (text or voice transcriptions). We also collect usage data such as which tracks you practice, session scores, and timestamps. We do not collect, store, or transmit your camera video feed at any time. Camera access is used only for your local viewing experience.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to provide and improve InterviewDrill. Specifically: your resume and JD text are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic Claude) to generate personalized questions for your session — they are not stored long-term on Anthropic's servers beyond the API call. Your session scores and history are stored in our database (Supabase) to power your progress dashboard. We never sell your data to third parties.
Camera & Microphone
When you select Camera + Voice mode, your browser requests camera and microphone access. Your video stream is displayed locally on your screen only — it is never recorded, never transmitted to our servers, and never stored. Microphone audio is transcribed in real time using your browser's built-in Web Speech API; we receive only the resulting text transcript, not the raw audio.
AI & Third-Party Services
InterviewDrill uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate interview questions and feedback. Text you submit (resume content, JD, your answers) is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Please review Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy for details on how they handle API data. We use Supabase for authentication and database storage, and Razorpay for payment processing. None of these providers receive your password.
Data Retention
Session data, scores, and feedback are retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@interviewdrill.io. We will process deletion requests within 7 business days.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies strictly necessary for authentication (session tokens via Supabase) and your theme preference (light/dark mode stored in localStorage). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
